New Delhi: Today is the fourth day of the third week of the monsoon session of Parliament. The functioning of both the houses has been quite tumultuous so far. At the same time, the Center says that it is ready for debate on every issue, but the noise of the opposition is not stopping.
The ruckus continued in both the houses on Thursday as well. The proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 12 noon. Earlier, the Indian hockey team was congratulated for winning the bronze medal in the Olympics in both the houses. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the whole country is proud of this success.
Congress’s agenda not to allow Parliament to function: Ravi Shankar Prasad
Before the start of the session, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad targeted the opposition for not functioning of Parliament. He said that we are ready to discuss any issue, but the question is whether the opposition really wants this. Not allowing Parliament to function is the agenda of Congress. She does not want any party to overtake her.
Ravi Shankar said that no evidence has been found so far on the Pegasus case. The opposition leaders are just throwing mud. Congress does not respect Parliament. This attitude is irresponsible. They raise questions on our government but you see how bills were passed during Congress rule.
