New Delhi: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law has called officials from the ministry and the Law Commission to deliberate on a Uniform Civil Code for the country.
The 30-member panel, headed by senior BJP leader Sushil Modi, will hold two rounds of meetings on July 3, one with the Law Commission and the other with top officials of the Department of Legal Affairs and Legislative Department under the law ministry. “The committee has invited top officials of the Law Commission and the Department of Legal Affairs and Legislative Department under the Ministry of Law.
