Chandigarh: The winter session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly will start from December 17 and will continue till December 21. Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar gave this information in a press conference after the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The minister said that the date fixed by the cabinet for the upcoming session would be sent to the Haryana Governor for approval. He said that after approval, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Vidhan Sabha would be held to finalize the details including the duration of the session.
The minister said that in the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to make Group-B Service Rules 2021 of Haryana Transport Department. Effective and progressive service rule was the need of the hour for governance of service conditions of the employees of Transport Department and to bring efficiency and improvement to meet the needs of this department. Accordingly, the department had drafted comprehensive service rules for Group B employees, he said.
Gurjar said that by adopting zero tolerance towards corruption, the state government is providing employment on the basis of merit. He said those involved in corrupt practices would not be spared at any cost. “The previous governments may not have taken any action against those who indulge in corruption in jobs, but the present government is taking strict action against such people,” he said.
