Shimla: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi today, ahead of the budget session beginning February 23.
Thakur had left for New Delhi yesterday after examination and examination at the cardiology department of IGMC here. He was admitted to AIIMS “for regular check-ups” and was still undergoing treatment.
A state government spokesperson said the chief minister’s health standards were normal and he was under the supervision of senior doctors at AIIMS.
Thakur, who also holds the finance portfolio, is due to present the budget proposal for the financial year 2022-23 in the assembly on March 4. The budget session will have 16 sittings and will end on March 15.
