Lok Sabha Speaker Birla Participate in Mahamastakabhishek Ceremony of Lord Bahubali at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre

New Delhi : Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla today urged society to embrace spiritual values, self-discipline, and ethical living as essential pillars for shaping a peaceful and prosperous world. He emphasized that India has always been a global leader in spiritual wisdom, and preserving these timeless teachings is crucial for national progress and human welfare.

Shri Birla made these remarks while delivering keynote speech at the Mahamastakabhishek ceremony of Lord Bahubali, organized at Yashobhoomi Convention Center by Dwarkesh Bhagwan Bahubali Mahamastabhishek Mahatosav Samiti, Bharat. The spiritual gathering witnessed the presence of revered saints, scholars, and dignitaries, underscoring the enduring significance of faith, compassion, and righteousness in today’s world.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Birla highlighted the importance of spirituality in addressing strife, unrest, and other societal challenges. He emphasized that the teachings of Lord Mahavir, delivered over 2500 years ago, remain profoundly relevant today. Shri Birla stated that the values taught by Lord Mahavir—peace, integrity, and non-violence—are timeless. In today’s turbulent world, these teachings are not only relevant for India but for the entire world. He emphasized that society today, more than ever, needs harmony, tolerance, and righteousness to overcome conflicts and build a future rooted in mutual respect and understanding.

He further praised the role of saints and spiritual leaders in spreading the message of Lord Mahavir across the country, stating that their wisdom and guidance provide new direction to society, ushering in positivity and renewed energy. These revered spiritual figures have devoted their lives to the welfare and upliftment of society, serving as beacons of inspiration in an era marked by rapid change and moral dilemmas, he observed.

During his address, Shri Birla also referenced the ongoing Mahakumbh celebrations, where millions of devotees have taken the holy dip as part of a sacred spiritual journey spanning millennia. He remarked that such spiritual congregations reflect the deep-rooted faith and collective consciousness that bind the people of India together, transcending divisions and fostering a shared sense of cultural and spiritual heritage. The event was graced by Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Shri Yogendra Chandolia Members of Parliament and newly elected MLA Shri Sandeep Sehrawat, among other dignitaries.
