New Delhi : Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla released a coffee table book titled “Parliament Art” showcasing unique art and sculpture in Parliament House (New Building of Parliament).
The coffee table book has been brought out by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
On this occasion, commending the efforts of IGNCA, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla lauded the organization for their invaluable contribution in making the new Parliament House a unique microcosm reflecting the diversity and universal appeal of the Indian culture. The arts, artifacts, and sculptures curated by IGNCA beautifully encapsulate the essence of the nation, reflecting its unique diversities while maintaining a distinct Indianness, observed Shri Birla. He also elaborated on how various aspects of ancient Indian democracy, alongside modern democratic instruments such as elections, are prominently featured in the building’s design.
Member Secretary, IGNCA, Dr Sachitanand Joshi, and Project Coordinator, Smt Priyanka Mishra, among others were present on the occasion.
