LS adjourned indefinitely, 20 important bills passed in uproarious monsoon session

New Delhi: Lok Sabha has been adjourned sine die. The proceedings of the House have been adjourned two days before the scheduled time. With this, the stormy monsoon session came to an end. There is constant opposition from the opposition on Pegasus espionage scandal, agricultural law, inflation, and other issues. Due to this, there was a ruckus in the Parliament and the proceedings could not go on smoothly. The monsoon session of the Lok Sabha began on July 19. During this, 20 important bills including Constitution Amendment Bill, Taxation Amendment Bill were passed in Lok Sabha.

Question Hour was disrupted most of the time during the monsoon session. Despite this, the House passed many important bills. These include the Constitution Amendment Bill, in which the states have been allowed to make their own OBC list. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present in the house. Before adjourning the proceedings of the Lok Sabha indefinitely, four former members, who passed away recently, were paid tributes by observing silence.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told that the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha was adjourned on August 11. A total of 17 sittings were held in this session which started on 19th July. A total of 20 important bills were passed in the House including the Constitution (127th Amendment) Bill, the Taxation Law (Amendment) Bill, the Bankruptcy and Insolvency (Amendment) Bill.
