LS speaker leads indian parliamentary delegation to UAE from 21 to 25 Feb

New Delhi: On the invitation of the Federal National Council of United Arab Emirates, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla is leading an Indian Parliamentary Delegation to the United Arab Emirates from 21 to 25 February, 2022. This is first ever visit under the bilateral exchange of Parliamentary Delegations from either side. The delegation includes Shri Sushil Kumar Modi, Dr. (Smt.) Fauzia Tahseen Ahmed Khan, Dr. M.K. Vishnu Prasad, Shri P. Ravindhranath, Shri Shankar Lalwani and Dr. Sujay Radhakrishna Vikhepatil, all Members of Parliament and Shri Utpal Kumar Singh, Secretary General, Lok Sabha. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Joint Secretary is Secretary to the Delegation.

During their visit to United Arab Emirates, the delegation apart from meeting their host, H.E. Mr. Saqr Gobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of UAE, will also call on H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. 

The Delegation will also meet H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation. 

Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha will have the rare honour of addressing the Federal National Council of UAE on 22 February, 2022.

The Delegation will also visit places of cultural and historical importance at Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
