Monsoon session can be called from July 19, MPs will have to take both doses of vaccine

New Delhi: Monsoon session of Parliament may begin from July 19. After this it can go on till August 13. The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) has recommended a monsoon session between July 19 and August 13. For this, the MPs have been asked by the government to take both the doses of the vaccine before the start of the session.

Sources said that 20 meetings are likely to be held during the monsoon session that lasted for about a month. Normally the monsoon session of Parliament starts from the third week of July and ends before the Independence Day.

Sources said that the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has made a recommendation regarding the duration of this session. He said that all protocols related to Kovid will be followed in the Parliament premises during the session.

He said it is expected that those entering the campus during the session would have received at least one dose of the anti-Covid vaccine by then.
