New Delhi: There will be no visitors to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the winter session of Parliament beginning November 29. Sources gave this information on Thursday.
The Visitor’s Galleries in both the Houses will remain closed during the ensuing session due to the prevailing COVID situation and the restrictions imposed. The officials of both the secretariats have written about the unavailability of the galleries for the visitors during the upcoming session.
Sources said that due to the implementation of the Kovid protocol during the session, the MPs will be seated in the gallery for the audience in both the houses. According to an official circular, the seating arrangements of the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been made in the halls and galleries in a chaotic manner.
“No visitor shall be allowed to watch the proceedings of the House during the session and no public gallery pass shall be issued,” the circular said.
Indicating that it would bring the Agricultural Laws Repeal Bill on the first day of the session, the BJP on Thursday issued a whip to Rajya Sabha MPs to be present in the House on November 29 for important business.
