G20 is the premier forum for global economic cooperation representing around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population. During the course of its G20 Presidency, India will be holding about 200 meetings in 32 different work streams (13 in Sherpa Track, 8 in the Finance Track and 11 Engagement Groups) in over 50 locations across India. The G20 Summit to be held on 9-10 September 2023 in New Delhi would be one of the highest profile international gatherings to be hosted by India. Our G20 Presidency offers us a unique opportunity to contribute to the global agenda on pressing issues of international concern such as sustainable development, green growth, digital economy, environment and climate, energy transition, multilateral reforms, tourism and culture.

In this context, the launch of the logo, theme and website will be an important occasion befitting the large scale of our nation-wide preparations, as well as an opportunity to reach out to a wide audience in both India and abroad.

G20 Engagement Groups will play a vital role in the success of our G20 Presidency, a national endeavour. Accordingly, it is requested that you may kindly inform the Lead, Members and Participants of your respective Engagement Group about the above mentioned launch of the logo, theme and website of our G20 Presidency on the webcast link sent below herewith so that they could watch it, and thereafter endorse/support India’s G20 logo and theme in public domain, including social media, immediately after the launch.
