RN Mahato elected Speaker of Jharkhand Assembly unopposed

Ranchi : Rabindra Nath Mahato became the Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly for the second consecutive time. He was elected unopposed to this post. As soon as the proceedings of the House started, Chief Minister Hemant Soren proposed the name of Rabindra Nath Mahato for the Speaker. Mathura Mahato supported it. Rabindranath Mahato was elected Speaker by voice vote. After being unanimously elected Speaker, BJP MLA Babulal Marandi and Chief Minister Hemant Soren brought Rabindra Nath Mahato to the chair and made him sit on the Speaker’s chair.

Nalla MLA Rabindra Nath Mahato has created a new history as soon as he became the Speaker for the second time. He is the first MLA who has taken over the responsibility of Speaker for the second consecutive time.

Rabindra Nath Mahato has won the assembly elections for the fourth time. As soon as he became the Speaker, he broke the myth in which it has always been seen that no one becomes MLA twice while being the Speaker. Only CP Singh had won again while being the Speaker. But Rabindra Nath Mahato became the Speaker again.

On the second day of the special session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, after Ravindra Nath Mahato was elected Speaker, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the House. Hemant Soren first congratulated Ravindra Nath Mahato on being re-elected Speaker. He said that the House ran successfully under the chairmanship of Ravindranath Mahato in the fifth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He further said that the role of the opposition along with the ruling party is important in the all-round development of the state. He urged the opposition to respect the decision given by the people of the state during this election. He said that a role should be played in realizing the dreams of great personalities.

After Ravindra Nath Mahato was elected Speaker, the CM congratulated him. He said that I extend my best wishes on behalf of my party and the ruling party. He further said that this is the biggest temple of democracy. This is the result of the dedication and sacrifice of the great personalities of the country. Somewhere the whole world accepts the strength of our democracy. Different colors, dialects, civilizations and cultures come together and solve every problem by living in a group. Today, the country has been respecting the ideas of those great personalities since independence. Carrying their ideas on our shoulders, we are constantly engaged in strengthening this democracy.

BJP MLA Babulal Marandi congratulated Rabindra Nath Mahato on being elected Speaker. He appealed to the Speaker to give a little more opportunity to the opposition members. Newly elected members should also be given ample opportunity in the House. This will also help the government in identifying and solving the burning problems of the state. If any MLA raises a matter in the House, it should be resolved. As the custodian of the House, give everyone an opportunity. This will instill confidence in the new MLAs.
