Jaipur: Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani Monday directed Kolayat MLA Anshuman Singh Bhati to leave the House for breaching parliamentary decorum. Bhati entered the Assembly while the Speaker was standing, prompting Devnani to assert that members must not move around or cross the Speaker’s path when he is on his feet. Bhati was asked to remain outside until the Speaker took his seat.
In a stern move to maintain order, Devnani also cautioned parliamentary affairs minister Jogaram Patel and chief whip Rafeek Khan, warning that they too could be asked to leave if they continued engaging with their party MLAs during proceedings. The Speaker instructed members not to interrupt while others were speaking.
He specifically called out Congress MLA Ganesh Ghoghra for using inappropriate language, directing him to maintain decorum in his speeches. Addressing concerns over govt responses in the House, Devnani clarified that if an MLA finds an answer unsatisfactory, they must challenge it through the prescribed rules instead of making blanket accusations.
