The parliamentary committee reached Pahalgam, visited Civil Hospital

Jammu: On Tuesday, the Parliamentary Committee visited the Pahalgam Civil Hospital to know about the health facilities. Millions of tourists reach here due to being a world-famous tourist destination. Therefore this hospital is important for the local people as well as tourists.

The Parliamentary Committee on Health and Family Welfare was headed by MP Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav is doing it. He along with other members visited other departments including hospital registration, etc. It was informed that the hospital works round the clock and several trauma machines are available.

Health Director Kashmir Mushtaq Ahmed Rather told about the proposed plan of 50 bedded hospital in Pahalgam. The local people discussed various issues with the committee members. The Committee Chairman assured that their genuine grievances would be looked into seriously as the purpose of their visit is to seek suggestions. It will be considered for recommendations by the government.

Earlier, the members of the committee prayed for happiness and prosperity for the people of the country by bowing their heads at the Surya Martand temple of Mattan in Anantnag. He was informed about the historical background of Martand Tirtha. The head of Martand Nyas said that the Martand temple has been a symbol of unity and communal harmony.
