New Delhi: In an unrelenting war of words between the government and the opposition, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has hit out at Congress chief whip Jairam Ramesh in Rajya Sabha, saying it is human to make a mistake but it is foolish to “justify” the wrong again and again. .

Mr Joshi’s latest remarks come after his Friday statement, where he accused Mr Ramesh of blaming the working of the Rajya Sabha Chairman, calling it not only hostile to truth but also to democracy.

In a tweet on Sunday, Mr Joshi said that it is the duty of the public representatives to respect the chair and behave according to their position. “However Mr @jairam_ramesh, your colleagues chose to interrupt the debate. The minister’s remarks were in response to Mr Ramesh’s remarks on Friday that respect should be commanded and not demanded.

In response to Mr Joshi’s latest remarks, Mr Ramesh reposted a letter written by Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge to Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu complaining about illegal transmission of CCTV footage of the proceedings of the House Went.
