Three day winter session from December 22 in Dharamshala

Dharamshala: The city is gearing up for the winter session of the Congress government’s Vidhan Sabha which will run from December 22 to 24.

Sources said all the new legislators are likely to be sworn in on December 22, the first day of the winter session. If the government forms the cabinet by then, then the new ministers can also be administered the oath of office.

On the second day there will be an election for the new speaker of the assembly. Senior Congress leader and Jawali MLA Chandra Kumar was appointed Pro-tem Speaker yesterday.

On the third day, the governor will address the assembly. Since the session was being held immediately after the elections, there would be no business.

Sources said Congress leaders from Kangra were planning to give a warm welcome to Sukhwinder Sukhu on his first visit to the district after becoming the chief minister. may also hold a rally in Dharamshala to thank the people of Kangra for giving a decisive mandate to the Congress; The party has won 10 out of 15 seats in the district.

Meanwhile, after the formation of the Congress government, the hopes of the people of Kangra district have increased. Congress leaders have been accusing the BJP government of discrimination against Kangra while in the opposition.
