UP : Speaker administers oath to newly elected MLAs

Lucknow : On the occasion of the oath ceremony of the newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs in the recent bypolls, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged the legislators to unitedly pledge their commitment to the resolution of ‘Nation First’.

The MLAs expressed their support for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi, pledging to work for the nation’s progress and prosperity.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana administered the oath to the newly elected MLAs. The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected MLAs took place on Friday at the Tilak Hall of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Chief Minister Yogi congratulated the winning candidates, calling the victory a resounding endorsement of the state’s progress and the faith of the people.

Notably, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal recorded a historic win in the recent by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, securing seven out of nine seats. This remarkable victory was seen as a reflection of the state’s development and the public’s unwavering trust in the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Following the ceremony, Speaker Mahana addressed the new members of the House, highlighting the honour of serving in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He urged the MLAs to stay closely connected with the public, stressing that the work done by Chief Minister Yogi should be taken to the grassroots level.

“You have two and a half years to serve the people. Make your presence felt both in the assembly and in the public. Your efforts will resonate through your activism,” Mahana said.

Among the newly elected members are RLD’s Mithlesh Pal from Meerapur, and BJP’s Ramveer Singh from Kundarki, Deepak Patel from Phulpur, Surendra Singh from Khair, Sanjeev Sharma from Ghaziabad, Dharmaraj Nishad from Katehari and Suchismita Maurya from Majhawan. Each of these MLAs expressed gratitude to the people for their support and pledged to prioritise the development of their respective constituencies.

Besides Speaker Satish Mahana, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, along with ministers and MLAs, were present on this occasion.
