Uttrakhand: Dhami cabinet meeting approved budget, MLA pension increased

Dehradun: During the cabinet meeting, the annual reports of all the departments have been approved. Along with this, the Dhami cabinet has also agreed to the proposal related to increasing the pension mainly given to former MLAs. Where former MLAs used to get a pension of Rs 40 thousand earlier, it has now been increased to Rs 60 thousand. Apart from this, the pension of former MLAs will also be increased by ₹ 3000 every year. Whereas earlier 2500 was increased. Not only this, the petrol money given to the MLAs for attending the proceedings of the House has also been increased.

After the cabinet meeting concluded, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that more than 33 proposals have been discussed during the cabinet meeting. In this, the budget proposals for the upcoming financial year 2025-26 have been approved. The forest fire season is starting, in view of which, to prevent forest fires, along with public participation, work can be done in collaboration with Gram Panchayat, Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal as well as employees of Forest Department and Revenue Department. Apart from this, approval has been given to reorganize the structure of the Election Department.
