Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat

During his visit to Gujarat, PM Modi also paid tributes to former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, where he inaugurated the Arogya Forest.

Upon arriving at Ahmedabad Airport today, the Prime Minister reached Gandhinagar and paid tribute to former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel. Former Gujarat Chief Minister and veteran leader of Bharatiya Janata Party Keshubhai Patel died on Thursday due to prolonged illness.

After this, PM Modi left for Kevadia in Narmada district. This is Modi’s first visit to his home state since the onset of the Corona virus infection in late March. It is believed that PM Modi will rest the night in Kevadia.

According to officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Kevadia in a helicopter from Ahmedabad Airport. Here he will inaugurate the Sardar Patel Zoological Park, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Later he will inaugurate a boat service, which will operate between the statue and the best Bharat Bhavan in the Narmada River.

PM Modi can also ride the boat at the inauguration. He will then inaugurate the Ekta Mall near the statue, where tourists can buy handicraft items brought from across the country.

After this, on the morning of 31 October, PM Modi will first visit the Statue of Unity to pay floral tributes to Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary. A parade called the Unity Day Parade will also be organised by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Gujarat Police on the occasion. It is expected that PM Modi will also address here.

The official said that after speaking at the parade ground near the Statue of Unity, PM Modi will interact with civil service probationers through video conferencing. In the afternoon, PM will start a seaplane service connecting Kevadia and Ahmedabad. He will then leave for New Delhi.
