Baku : Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, met with Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, U.S.
The meeting focused on the Azerbaijan-UN relations, the country’s contributions to the activity of the organization, emphasizing the role of the Azerbaijani parliament in this regard, as well as the parliamentary diplomacy it pursues aimed at advancing multilateralism.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova also briefed the UNGA President on the activities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network (NAM PN).
The meeting also addressed other matters of mutual concern.
