New Delhi : Bharatiya Janata Party MP Jagdambika Pal on Thursday appealed to opposition parties to refrain from disrupting the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, emphasising that the Lok Sabha is meant for constructive debate and decision-making in the public interest. Speaking to ANI, Pal stated, “We appeal to the entire opposition, reminding them that the Lok Sabha is a forum for representatives elected by the people. It is a place for debate, discussion, and decision-making in the public interest–not for disruption… The nature of the statements coming from the Congress suggests they do not want the House to function.” He alleged that the Congress party does not wish for the Lok Sabha proceedings to operate smoothly.
The Monsoon Session is scheduled to commence on July 20 and continue until August 13. The Centre plans to introduce the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, and the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025, during the session, according to a bulletin from the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha.
