Shimla : A 10-member delegation from the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, led by Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, will participate in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conference in Chandigarh from June 8-10. Key figures include Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, among others.
Adelegation of 10 members from the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is set to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II conference in Chandigarh, from June 8 to 10. The team will be led by Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.
The conference, hosted by the Haryana Legislative Assembly, will kick off with an inauguration by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on June 8 at 3:00 PM, held in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha hall. It will also feature remarks from Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The delegation comprises MLAs Randhir Sharma, Sanjay Rattan, Rakesh Jamwal, Reena Kashyap, Neeraj Nayyar, Kewal Singh Pathania, Sudarshan Kumar Babloo, Harish Janartha, Kamlesh Thakur, and Anuradha Rana, alongside Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma. Notably, Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat 2047: Role of Aware Citizens, Society, and Young Legislators in achieving the National Goal’ on June 9 during the plenary sessions. Delegates will arrive in Chandigarh on June 7.
