India’s multi-party delegation speaks in one voice; exposes Pakistan’s terror links

New Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, part of the multi-party delegation in Algeria’s capital Algiers, stated that “80% of Pakistan’s economy runs on loans.”
India has tasked multi party delegations to visit countries capitals to reach out to international community on to build global pressure against terrorism and tell its side of the story in the wake of Pahalgam terror attack that claimed lives of 26 people.

“Since 1980, they (Pakistan) have been spending 20-25% of their budget for Defence. IMF, Saudi Arabia, and the US give them loans. 80% of their economy is on loans only… Their economy is in such a condition that any day, they can be the next Somalia or Sudan. Any country giving them any help will lose its money…” said Nishikant Dubey.

He also added, “In 1972, we gifted them (Pakistan) back their 93,000 soldiers, still, 54 of our army personnel are in Pakistani jail, they didn’t return them to date. This is Pakistan, and that’s why we are here…”

While Congress leader Salman Khurshid, part of the JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha-led delegation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia says, “With one voice India is saying, ‘Terrorism no more.’… We hope to create a collective rise against terrorism to make the globe peaceful and prosperous… We can confidently say, ‘Hum honge kaamyaab’.”

Addressing the Indian community in Algeria as part of an all-party parliamentary delegation AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that global terrorism could decline if Pakistan is once again placed on the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) grey list.

“Pakistan is the epicentre of Takfirism and there is no difference in ideology between the terrorist groups in Pakistan and Daesh and Al-Qaeda” he said.

An all-party Indian delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad reached London to reinforce India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism. During their three-day visit, the delegation will engage with UK officials, lawmakers, think tanks, and members of the Indian diaspora.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Baijayant Panda, heading an all-party delegation to Algeria, criticized Pakistan for exploiting its nuclear capabilities to protect its terrorist operations.

Baijayant Panda said, “Pakistan has used its nuclear power to shield its terrorist training, funding and arming program. When I say that they have been doing this with terrorists openly, it is not just me saying it. You can look it up on the internet. Everybody knows Pakistan has done this many times in the past.”

Congress MP Anand Sharma, a member of the multi-party delegation visiting Ethiopia, stated that India delivered a “befitting reply” to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

“It is an ancient culture of centuries that we do not attack any country, but we gave the attackers a befitting reply. Our army fought back strongly this time too; they targeted only the terrorist organisations” he said.

In a diplomatic boost for India, Colombia has withdrawn a statement expressing condolences to Pakistan over casualties from India’s military strikes following the Pahalgam terror attack. The move came after an Indian parliamentary delegation highlighted Pakistan’s continued support for cross-border terrorism.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is heading the all-party delegation to Colombia, confirmed the withdrawal after a meeting with Vice Foreign Minister Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio.
