Kenya : – President William Ruto is expected to step onto a regional stage next week as he prepares to address Tanzania’s Parliament in a visit aimed at reinforcing ties between the two neighbouring countries.
The address, scheduled for 5 May 2026 at 11am, was confirmed by Tanzania’s National Assembly Deputy Speaker Daniel Sillo, who urged lawmakers to attend in large numbers.
“His Excellency William Ruto… will address this House,” Sillo told MPs, describing the session as a significant occasion.
For Kenya and Tanzania, the moment carries more than ceremony. It reflects an ongoing effort to strengthen cooperation on trade, regional integration and shared economic priorities within the East African Community.
State House officials say the speech will focus on deepening partnership and building on the long-standing relationship between the two nations.
