New Delhi; 18 May : Lok Sabha Secretariat is organizing Second Chintan Shivir for its officers and officials. The two day Chintan Shivir which was inaugurated today in Parliament premise will conclude tomorrow.
250 officials have been nominated to participate in the Second Chintan Shivir.
In the Chintan Shivir, the participants will discuss on the following subjects: (i) Prevention of workplace harassment; (ii) Sustainable development of Parliament House Complex; (iii) Work productivity through incentivisation and motivation; (iv) Mechanism for feedback and accountability in Office; (v) Improvement of work culture through teamwork; (vi) Reconstitution of Lok Sabha – Familiarisation and Assimilation of MPs; (vii) Organisational Goals; (viii) Skill development with special emphasis on ‘on job training’; (ix) Coordination with agencies engaged in Parliament House Complex; and (x) Implementable Action Plan – (a) Scope of technological / software intervention in Lok Sabha, (b) Removal of roadblock in digitization of records, and (c) Updation and integration of various software.
Chintan Shivir is a unique and pioneering initiative for facilitating meaningful and purposeful discussion and deliberations. The purpose is is to reflect on administrative issues to keep the soul and mind of Lok Sabha Secretariat officials fresh and to remain connected to the aspirations of people.
The broad objectives of the Chintan Shivir are as follows:
i. To encourage creative and innovative thinking, breakdown hierarchy and promote fraternity/camaraderie;
ii. To harness technology;
iii. To think out of box solutions;
iv. To bring more transparency and objectivity into governance;
v. To energize and professionalize the LSS Services;
vi. To share best practices-learning from others;
vii. To upgrade knowledge and develop leadership;
The First Chintan Shivir was organized on 24th and 25th April 2023 in Parliament premise, comprising around 250 Officials from various Services of the Secretariat.
