Parliament to revoke MPs’ suspension tomorrow, all-party meeting reaches consensus

New Delhi: The suspension of MPs in Parliament will be revoked at 12 noon on Tuesday, following a consensus reached at an all-party meetingconvened by Speaker Om Birla on Monday.

According to sources, a formal proposal to lift the suspension will be tabled in the House tomorrow. MPs have also agreed to refrain from using placards and AI-generated images, and to maintain decorum during proceedings.

The decision comes after party leaders discussed measures to ensure smooth functioning of the House. The suspended MPs had originally faced disciplinary action in February 2026, when eight Opposition members were barred for the remainder of the budget session for “unruly behavior,” including disrupting proceedings and throwing papers toward the Chair.
