New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind will address the joint session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature on June 6. UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana on Tuesday chaired an all-party meeting and sought cooperation of leaders for the special session.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP Legislative Council President Kunwar Manvendra Singh were also present in the meeting. Yogi said that June 6 is going to be a historic day for the UP Vidhan Sabha in the year of Amrit Mahotsav.
The CM said that such events strengthen parliamentary democracy through positive dialogue. He said that it is a matter of great happiness that the leaders of all the parties have assured cooperation for the success of the special session on June 6.
The meeting was attended by Manoj Pandey from Samajwadi Party, Ram Niwas Verma from Apna Dal (Sonelal), Ajay Kumar from RLD, Om Prakash Rajbhar from SBSP, Virendra Chaudhary from Congress and Raghuraj Pratap Singh and Uma Shankar Singh from BSP.
