Raj assembly budget session commences amid symbolic protest by opposition

Jaipur: The budget session of the Rajasthan state assembly commenced here on Wednesday amid protests by the opposition members outside the House.
Governor Haribhau Bagade arrived to deliver his customary address. He inspected the ceremonial Guard of Honour along the porch of the Assembly Complex, where the opposition Congress MLAs held demonstration at the other gate in the premises.

The opposition MLAs reached the assembly in procession, marching from the nearby Vidhayak Niwas upto the assembly premises to hold demonstration at the gate before proceeding in, to attend the business in the House.

The MLAs led by the leader of the opposition (LoP) Tika Ram Jully were waving in hands, tools like Spades, Shovels and Pickaxes and protesting against the enforcement of amended MNREGA in its new version “VB G RAM G”.

However, the Governor’s inaugural address in the house took place by and large smoothly peacefully that lasted for around 80 minutes.
