New Delhi: The new Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Vice President Sh. Jagdeep Dankhad re-constituted the various House committees on the eve of forthcoming winter session of Parliament. The most important Business Advisory Committee headed by the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha will have following members: Shri Harivansh, Deputy Chairman, Dr. Laxmikant Bajpayee, Shrimati Misha Bharti, Shri Prakash Javadekar, Shri Derek O’Brien, Shri Jairam Ramesh, Dr. K. Keshava Rao, Shri V. Vijayasai Reddy, Shri Sanjay Singh and Shri Bhupender Yadav.
The Committee on Rules will have these members: Shri Harivansh, Deputy Chairman, Shri Anil Baluni, Shri N.R. Elango, Shri Narain Dass Gupta, Shri Ilaiyaraaja, Shri Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, Dr. K. Laxman, Shri Sushil Kumar Modi, Shrimati Mamata Mohanta, Shri Parimal Nathwani , Shri Sukhendu Sekhar Ray , Shri B. Parthasaradhi Reddy, Shri Digvijaya Singh , Shri Ghanshyam Tiwari and Shri Bhupender Yadav. Being Chairman of RS, Mr. Dhankhad will be the Chairman of this committee.
The Committee of Privileges will be headed by Deputy Chairman of RS Mr. Harivahsh. The other members of the committee will be Dr. Anil Jain, Shri Elamaram Kareem, Shri Kumar Ketkar, Ms. Saroj Pandey, Dr. Sasmit Patra, Shri G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi , Shri Rakesh Sinha and Shri G.K. Vasan.
The Chairman of Committee on Subordinate Legislation will be BJP’s Dr. Laxmikant Bajpayee. Shri Raghav Chadha, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Shrimati Vandana Chavan, Ms. Sushmita Dev, Shri R. Dharmar, Shri Mahesh Jethmalani, Shri Surendra Singh Nagar, Dr. Amar Patnaik, Shri G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, Shri S Niranjan Reddy, Shri K.R. Suresh Reddy, Shri Neeraj Shekhar, Shri Akhilesh Prasad Singh and Shri Vivek K. Tankha
The Committee on Petitions will now have a new Chairman Shri Sujeet Kumar. The other members will be Shrimati Sumitra Balmik, Shri Rajendra Gehlot, Dr. L. Hanumanthaiah, Dr. Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade, Shri Nabam Rebia , Shri Kartikeya Sharma, Shri Arun Singh , Shri Sanjay Singh and Shri Tiruchi Siva.
The Committee on Government Assurances will be headed by Dr. M. Thambidurai. Shri M. Mohamed Abdulla, Shri Gulam Ali, Shri Birendra Prasad Baishya. Shrimati Ramilaben Becharbhai Bara, Shrimati Seema Dwivedi, Shri Mohammed Nadimul Haque, Shri Hishey Lachungpa , Shri Sakaldeep Rajbhar and Shri K.T.S. Tulsi will be other members.
Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tasa will be the new Chairman of Committee on Papers Laid on the Table. The other members will be Shri Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya, Shri Anil Desai, Shri Aneel Prasad Hegde, Shri Ram Chander Jangra, Shri Deepak Prakash, Shrimati Ranjeet Ranjan, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Shri Abdul Wahab and Shri Harnath Singh Yadav
Dr. C. M. Ramesh of BJP will be the new Chairman of House Committee, which allots the accommodation to the members of Rajya Sabha. Shri P. Bhattacharya, Shri G.C. Chandrashekhar, Shri Prem Chand Gupta, Shrimati S. Phangnon Konyak, Shri Pabitra Margherita , Ms. Dola Sen, Shri Vijay Pal Singh Tomar , Shri Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy and Shri B. Lingaiah Yadav are other members of the committee.
The re-constituted Committee on Ethics will be headed by BJP’s Shri Prakash Javadekar. Shri Jairam Ramesh, Shri Derek O’Brien, Shri Tiruchi Siva, Shri Sanjay Singh, Dr. Sasmit Patra, Shri V. Vijayasai Reddy, Dr. K. Keshava Rao, Shri Prem Chand Gupta and Shri Elamaram Kareem will be members of this committee.
