New Delhi : On Friday, the 10th day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the opposition staged a unique and symbolic protest in the Parliament complex over the issue of alleged irregularities in the offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. In this protest, independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia arrived at Parliament dressed as a sadhu.
Now, the saint community has reacted strongly to his protest. Jitendranand Saraswati, General Secretary of the All India Sant Samiti, has called it an insult to sadhus, saints, and saffron robes, and has demanded action from the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

Saint community expresses strong objection
Jitendranand Saraswati, General Secretary of the All India Sant Samiti, strongly criticized this protest. He said that any political party has the right to oppose the government or the BJP, but it is inappropriate to use the attire of saints and sages to convey a message that allegedly accuses the entire saint community of theft.
He alleged that such a protest harms the dignity of the saint tradition and saffron attire. He said that if an unconditional public apology is not sought in this matter, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha should take cognizance of this entire incident and take appropriate action.
He also said that the concerned agencies are investigating the alleged offerings case related to the Ram Temple, and the saint community will accept whatever legal decision is made. He also reiterated the demand for strict action against the culprits.
