The Parliament of Cantabria has launched a new institutional web portal (https://parlamento-cantabria.es/) which represents a complete renovation of its digital presence, incorporating improvements in design, usability, and technological features.
As the Chamber has indicated in a statement, the new page is not just a simple change of image, but is integrated into a broader technological modernization strategy, aimed at promoting transparency, facilitating accessibility, and enhancing the dissemination of parliamentary activity.
Among the most relevant changes is the implementation of a fully updated audiovisual system, which makes it possible to broadcast plenary sessions and committee meetings live and in high definition, as well as unified management of multimedia content. This makes it easier for citizens to follow parliamentary activity in real time and improves the technical quality of official broadcasts.
The portal, currently in the deployment phase, will continue to incorporate improvements and new features in the coming weeks. The navigation structure has been reorganized to be clearer and more coherent, with unified menus, better access to public information, and more intuitive user handling.
The platform also optimizes the integration of sections such as legislative activity, the institutional video library, and public information services, so that consulting these resources is faster and concentrated in the same environment.
This update is part of a global technological modernization project for the Parliament of Cantabria, which includes improving broadcast, storage, and content distribution systems, as well as adapting to current digital communication standards. The new environment also allows for more accessible synchronization with parliamentary management.
With the launch of this portal, the institution reaffirms its commitment to modernizing its services and to greater openness of parliamentary activity to citizens, while reinforcing the platform’s security levels.
The President of Parliament, María José González Revuelta, has indicated that it is a renovated space, designed to improve access to information in a “clearer, more agile, and accessible way for all people”. “This new platform reinforces our commitment to proximity and the quality of public service,” she stated.
