Who broke the limits in Parliament? A different story is seen in the video from Rahul’s claim

New Delhi: When former Congress President Rahul Gandhi made serious allegations of marshals attacking opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha, the government released the CCTV footage of the house. Contrary to Rahul Gandhi’s claim in this video, only Congress MPs are seen misbehaving with women marshals. It is clearly visible in the video that Congress MPs are repeatedly pushing the marshals. Women MPs can be seen even holding the collars of women marshals.

It should be noted that several Rajya Sabha MPs from opposition parties including Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, and Sanjay Raut on Wednesday accused the government of carrying out attacks through marshals. Pawar said that he had never seen such a situation in his parliamentary life, to which Raut said that the government imposed martial law in the Rajya Sabha. All opposition leaders, including NCP chief Sharad Pawar, have alleged that the government called dozens of marshals in the House to attack opposition MPs and throttled democracy.

However, seven ministers of the government countered the opposition’s allegations by holding a press conference. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that the woman marshal was hurt in the scuffle by the opposition MPs. At the same time, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi accused the opposition of threatening the government. He said the opposition threatened to create an even more chaotic situation than the uproar of August 9 if they tried to get the bill passed. In the Rajya Sabha on 9 August, a Congress MP climbed the table and threw the rule book. At the same time, the rest of the members raised slogans and created a ruckus. AAP MP Sanjay Singh raised slogans while sitting on the ground.

However, Rahul Gandhi said during the opposition’s dharna at Jantar Mantar that opposition MPs were assaulted in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. “Yesterday for the first time in the history of our country, members of Rajya Sabha were misbehaved and beaten up,” he said. This is the murder of democracy. Talking to news channel Times Now, Congress MP Chhaya Verma also claimed that the male marshals tried to push us back by pushing the women marshals forward.

‘We didn’t do anything,’ he said. However, when a Times Now reporter questioned her, Verma retorted from her point of view saying that some women MPs were pushed by the marshals. At the same time, Congress MP Kumar Ketkar defended Rahul Gandhi and said that he will definitely have some evidence. He said that Rahul Gandhi does not lie.
