Bhubaneswar: The Young Indians (Yi) Bhubaneswar Chapter, under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), successfully concluded theYoung Indians Parliament (YIP) 2026 at the Tennis Auditorium, Kalinga Stadium,with a grand Valedictory Session, marking the culmination of two days of engaging debates, structured parliamentary proceedings, and youth-led policy discussions.
The Valedictory Session was graced by Hon’ble Shri Suryavanshi Swaraj Ji, Minister Sports and Youth services, Higher Education and Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony commenced with Mr. Gaurav Goel, Chairperson, Yi Bhubaneswar, welcoming the Hon’ble Minister and other distinguished guests. In his address, he reflected on the highlights of the two-day Young Indians Parliament 2026, applauding the remarkable enthusiasm, confidence, and quality of participation displayed by the student delegates throughout the event.
Honourable Shri Suryavanshi Suraj encouraged students to actively engage in governance and contribute meaningfully to nation-building. The event witnessed participation from over 190 student delegates representing leading schools, who showcased exceptional leadership, critical thinking, and public speaking skills through activities such as Opening Speeches, Question Hour, Zero Hour, and Bill Introduction & Voting. The sessions enabled delegates to debate pressing issues, question governance, and propose solutions in a simulated parliamentary environment.
The closing ceremony concluded with an awards presentation recognising exceptional student delegates for their outstanding performance during the two-day Young Indians Parliament 2026. [Student Name] of [School Name] was honoured with the Best Speaker Award, while [Student Name] of [School Name] received the Best Debater Award. The Most Valuable Participant (MVP) Award was presented to [Student Name] of [School Name]. Awards were presented to one student from each participating school in recognition of their excellence in public speaking, critical thinking, leadership, and parliamentary conduct.
The jury members were felicitated for their invaluable contribution and commitment in evaluating the parliamentary proceedings over the two-day event. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished guests, jury members, participating schools, student delegates, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the success of Young Indians Parliament 2026.
