Zambian Parliamentary Delegation Calls On S-G,Lok Sabha

New Delhi – 9 April : A 5 Member Zambian Delegation led by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Roy Ngulube called on Lok Sabha Secretary General Shri Utpal Kumar Singh in Parliament House Complex, today.The delegation is currently undergoing Orientation Programme being organised by Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE).

During the meeting, Secretary General hoped that the Orientation Programme would be advantageous, adding value and knowledge about the various parliamentary procedures and practices. He also briefed the delegation about the upcoming Indian general elections, highlighting the magnitude of the electoral process. Additionally, Shri Singh shared insights about the new Parliament of India building, emphasizing its futuristic design and its alignment with the evolving needs of parliamentary functions. Furthermore, he recalled the visit of the Zambian Speaker to India last year, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration and exchange between the parliamentary institutions of the two countries.

The Clerk of the Zambian National Assembly, Mr. Roy Ngulube thanked his Indian counterpart and complimented him on the excellent training and hospitality received by them. He mentioned that the training modules were tailor-made for them and they had gathered immense resources which would go a long way in helping them with their duties. The head of the delegation presented the Secretary General, Lok Sabha with a plaque depicting the rich fauna of Zambia.
